Caramel Apple Instructions

Preheat oven to 200 degrees.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.  Additionally prepare a sheet of waxed paper for caramel apples to cool on.

Wash and thoroughly dry 5 apples.

Remove caramel wraps from package.

Wrap the apples with caramel by stretching each sheet gently from center out like pizza dough and pull over apple, trying to cover sides and bottom as much as possible.

Place caramel wrapped apples top side up on parchment lined baking sheet.

Insert the wooden stick securely into the top of the apples.

Bake 5 minutes and remove promptly.

Allow to cool on waxed paper.

Chocolate Fudge Instructions

*Note:  Once fudge is complete, you will need to angle the saucepan to submerge the caramel apples. Have a rolled up towel ready to angle the pan.  Place caramel apples nearby, so you can work quickly when fudge is ready.

Place butter, sugar, evaporated milk and salt in a medium size saucepan.

Bring to a slow rolling boil for 4 1/2 minutes, stirring constantly.

Turn off heat source and add miniature marshmallows and morsels and stir until completely dissolved and smooth.

Add vanilla.

Remove from heat onto a heat proof surface.

Use the rolled up towel and place under one side of the saucepan in order to angle the pan so that caramel apples can be submerged. Immediately dip caramel apples in chocolate fudge.

Place chocolate fudge dipped apples on waxed paper.

Cool overnight.

Decorate wooden sticks with fall ribbon before serving.  Place chocolate fudge caramel apples on material leaves for added effect.
