Hot Chocolate Lollipops

Oh the weather outside is frightful, but a fudgey hot chocolate will make your day delightful! Indulge in a cup of hot chocolate made by swirling a hot chocolate lollipop topped with a marshmallow into a cup of hot milk; fun and delicious!

The Chocolate Goddess presents a special treat for those cold wintery days. What could be more fun than hot chocolate on a stick? Powdered hot chocolate move over – your taste does not compare.

These hot chocolate lollipops can be accessorized with decorated marshmallows. Start by slowly melting candy melts or chocolate in your microwave. Melt on power level 5 for 30 seconds at a time stirring at each interval until just a few solid bits remain and stir until all are melted. Never melt chocolate or candy melts completely so your chocolate doesn’t burn.

Now dip the top of the marshmallow and skewer onto a lollipop stick pushing it up allowing an inch for the hot chocolate square. Decorate the top with sugars, edible glitters, sprinkles, heath bar crunch and decorations. Stand them in a piece of Styrofoam to dry.

Make your hot chocolate next.

½ cup Heavy Cream
1 can of Sweetened Condensed Milk
3 cups of Nestlé’s® Semisweet Chocolate Chips
4 ounces Bakers® Unsweetened Chocolate

Directions

Lightly spray an 8x8 pan with nonstick coating. Line with aluminum foil so it overlaps the ends and lightly spray again.

Place chocolate in a medium sized bowl.

Heat cream and sweetened condensed milk, stirring frequently, until it just begins to simmer. Pour over chocolate and let sit for 30 seconds. Stir until all is melted.

Pour into prepared pan and let sit overnight at room temperature. Refrigerate for an hour before cutting.

Using a sharp knife cut slices, heating and wiping down knife in between. I found it easier to measure out 3 centimeter squares.

Skewer hot chocolate square under each marshmallow. You can tie bows on them for an extra cute appearance. You could bag them in cellophane bags for gifts.

Warm about 5 to 6 ounces of whole milk per cup. Stir hot chocolate pop in milk until it melts and push in marshmallow.

Mmmmm - Simply divine!
