Spring Decorating

Spring Decorating

The first day of spring and much of the country looks like the first day of winter.  The weather is running rampant with snow, cold, wind and rain across much of the United State just when people are at the culmination of the winter blues.  The goddesses guide you and say, “Don’t just stand there, get spring started indoors and let Mother Nature catch up to you”.

Eastertime and Passover are also right around the corner and decorations and preparations for celebrations are lagging because no one can seem to believe spring time is really here.  Shake of those blues, get out your decorations, place them and get the Easter baskets and chocolate bunnies bought and made.

The goddess of springtime Ostaria reminds you...

Always Stay in Touch with Your Inner Goddess!

Happy Decorating!

Start with your front door.  Make a simple wreath by wiring or a variety of flowers.  Make sure you vary the type of flower and keep it seasonal.

Apothecary jars filled with seasonal candy like peeps and jelly beans and then topped off with a coordinated bow lend sweet shop charm and give everyone a happy feeling.

The chocolate bunnies are in the house!

Why hide the chocolate bunnies you buy for the dessert table and Easter baskets (unless your children are very young).  The Chocolate Goddess says give everyone a preview peek of the chocolate yet to come.  Everyone eats with their eyes first so why not let them enjoy seeing a tempting display of chocolate rabbits before the holiday.

A simple basket becomes an extravagant one by simply attaching flowers with curling ribbon or glue.  The goddess used wire cutters to cut away excess stems.  3 separate sprigs of flowers were used for this handle.

It looks even better filled with Easter goodies.

Supermarket finds brightened up the dining table and made a lively centerpiece.  An inexpensive bouquet of daffodils and some lemon and limes have people commenting on how spring-like the table looks.

So hop to it peeps and force the blooms!
